Wide spread of new COVID-19 reminds us of 2019, during our challenging time at the Shangrila Colombo, All Day Dining Renovation Project. Not only from worrying health concerns but also from restrictions and complications. The project involved specialists from across the globe, making this a Multi-National Project. Construction team from China, Owner Representative, Malaysian, famous kitchen designer from Hong Kong, Interior Designer from Thailand, MEP Contractor from Colombo…. and our Installation team a combination of Sri-Lankans and Thais.

In March 2020, the number of people infected doubled. Shortly after, Sri-Lankan Authorities imposed a countrywide curfew, and most foreigners returned home. Unfortunate events including limited resources, to complete this project was barely possible.

But we have a belief. Mutual success will overcome any challenges. With the closure of Colombo International Airport, we had to get the project going by managing our team in Sri Lanka across the country through online method via thousands of photo shots, and daily communication with our experienced Installation Specialist in Thailand.
